Surviving Mars: Mysteries Resupply Pack DLC – What’s new?
Surviving Mars: Mysteries Resupply Pack has been released on Steam. It’s a new piece of DLC made by Haemimont Games an Paradox Interactive.
If you’ve never played Surviving Mars, it’s basically an old-school city-builder except you’re on Mars. Players will have to build up human civilization over time and expand into greater technology. The game starts out with just a vanguard of drones to explore the area and set up some basic production and residential buildings for the new colonists.
Over time, the human population will expand on the red planet by construction and research.
The mysteries are a component of the game that’ll surface after you’ve established your colony. It’s sort of like an RNG element that’ll mix up the gameplay. Whether or not this is fair, it does add some unpredictability to the game.
The new Mysteries Resupply Pack adds new kinds of mysteries to the game which already builds on the existing ones:
- St. Elmo’s Fire has these weird light orbs that pop up on the map
- The Philosopher’s Stone has the colonists encounter weird crystal entities that show up on the planet
- Metatron has a giant monolith that descends from the sky and hovers about
The DLC is currently available on Steam for PC and is completely free. The console version DLC will launch tomorrow- the 13th of June. If you’re interested in this game, you can see it on Steam. It’s currently also on sale for $39.99 which is 30% off the regular price.
