Sam Lake, creator of Alan Wake wants to make another sequel to the game, but he’s unsure about the difficulty that surmounts the process.
He spoke about this during a presentation and definitely noted that the original Alan Wake set the bar pretty high, so he’s not sure about meeting that standard again.
However, Remedy has bought out rights to the game and may be doing something with it in the future. Nothing has been confirmed yet that we know of, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see an Alan Wake 2.
Lake says:
“I want to make it. It’s a curious thing,” he said. “
“It needs to be done right if it’s ever done. Everything needs to click into place, which is really hard to make it happen. So many things, for these big games to be greenlit, need to be aligned. But I’m hoping that someday…”

Who knows if development can ever top off Alan Wake, but right now Remedy seems to be busy with Control- their newest project scheduled for release not long from now. But that doesn’t mean we won’t see an Alan Wake 2.

I specialize in indie games as I think they don’t get the attention they deserve. I’m just your typical consumer who has some opinions to share. I’ve been reviewing games since I was 12. I started out reviewing them with friends on old forums that now no longer exist. Then I went to online VoDs, which I’ve lost interest in.
And now I’m here to deliver my thoughts in written format!
