Assassin’s Creed “Kingdom” may take place in Viking times

Assassin’s creed won’t be coming out this year, but there’s been some news released regarding where the next entry will take place.

A channel called JorRaptor posted a video with a poster with Ubisoft’s shooter The Division 2 shows off a character that looks like it’s holding a Piece of Eden- which are the items that are found throughout the game’s history. These posters can be found all throughout Washington DC. The character on the poster holds the item, with the words Valhalla appearing above the chatter.

This location is a place in Norse mythology and typically associated with Vikings, which would mean exactly what it sounds like. Kotaku published a post earlier today that had two separate sources confirming that the next game will have Vikings indeed. They knew about this beforehand poster was ever even discovered in the game. And the new codename for the next Assassin’s Creed game is “Kingdom.” This is pretty much what’s circulating the internet right now.

Ubisoft has also declined to comment on what all this means, but we should note that Ubisoft have teased other coming projects in their previous games. This is their style. This should be a nice change from the last game. Perhaps it’ll be like Skyrim or Witcher 3, but it’ll be Assassin’s Creed. Awesome.
