There seems to be a new leak revealed by the ESRB.
A new product listing for Borderlands: GOTY showed up earlier today. The description for the game shows that the new version of the original game in the series which will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will be rated M and will likely be a remastered version of the game. Unfortunately, there’s no mention of the Switch so far. Many players have been waiting for the game to show up on the Switch, so this may render a lot of people unhappy.
There will also be in-game purchases, which could mean there will be cosmetics and DLC. The Game of the Year version of the game makes it sound like you’ll get the original Borderlands game with the DLC, but that may not be the case here. Borderlands which came originally in 20199 with all the DLC was the version to get, but now it’s strange that the DLC isn’t included. While it’s early to judge, 2K may have actually included the DLC by default but we’re just not aware yet. We’re not sure what the microtransactions exactly are.
This will likely be revealed at Gearbox Software’s panel next week at PAX East. Stay tuned for updates for Borderlands GOTY rereleased!
