DC Universe Online coming to Nintendo Switch August 6th

DC Universe Online will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this August 6th.

The popular online action hero MMORPG goes live on the Switch, as it was announced today at Comic-Con over in San Diego (right here in California).

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about getting DCUO on the Switch though. Daybreak Games announced that the game will be ported to the Switch eventually- but now we have a confirmed release date of August 6th, 2019. Just like the PC port and other consoles, the game will be free-to-play.

There won’t be any persistent characters, however. You’ll have to create a new character on the Switch and you won’t be able to transfer characters between platforms.

There also won’t be any cross-play between all the versions of DCUO for Switch. But we don’t know that for sure for the coming future. We just know at launch that this won’t be a feature of the game where players can relish with others across the various consoles and PC. At least not right from the start.
