Bungie released plans about revamping the microtransaction store in Destiny 2 to make it more user-friendly.
Eververse, the merchant for Destiny 2’s online store, has always just been there- as a source of NPC profit for the company.
Now that Bungie has split from Activision, they’ve already pulled away from Battle.net and will be going to Steam. Next on their list is to revamp Eververse.
During the Season of Opulence update, the store was already redesigned. But Bungie is looking to revamp the store once again- and make a bigger change than ever.
The armor bought from the store won’t have any more perks, due to the perk revamp with their content update.
This means players can customize their looks and not have to worry about perks. The armor will be changed to Universal Ornaments, which can be used with any Legendary gear.
All Eververse armor unlocked in Collections will have Universal Ornaments ready for use with later gear.
Next is the currency used to buy the Everberse gear will be overhauled. Bright Dust will be available as a reward for players for finishing Gambit, Crucible, and Vanguard.
And thus, Bright Dust won’t be rewarded from dismantling Eververse gear, which will now provide Glimmer and Legendary Shards. So be sure to dismantle your gear before September 17 to earn Bright Dust.
