Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn coming to the 3DS March 2019

Kirby will make an appearance on the 3DS with the release of Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn coming to 3DS this March 2019.

Kirby is the pink puffball known for his appetite and eating anything shiny to copy its power, and he’ll be back in yarn form on the 3DS for the upcoming title.

I first really only knew about him back in the original Super Smash Bros for the N64 and he’s been popular ever since. Internet memes, the Kirby dance, and his continued series of games across all Nintendo systems (including the recent SSBU honor of being the best character of all time in the World of Light campaign).

Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn will release for the Nintendo 3DS on March 8, 2019. This is the exact date assuming there’s no delay and it was first annouced back in the fall of 2018. This will be a new release, not a remaster, of the original Kirby’s Epic Yarn which was released on the Wii built for the newer generation of players. The game will have some new features such as the ability to play as King Dedede or Meta Knight while keeping the original gameplay of the first entry.

Kirby’s Epic Yarn receive a very positive reception for its fluid controls, cute graphics, and overall charm. Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn will add enough new features for veteran players and new players alike and will be one of the most anticipated games coming to the 3DS this year.

Kirby Star Allies was released last spring on the Switch, which is another Kirby entry that shares some gameplay features from Kirby’s Epic Yarn. Anyone who’s played Star Allies should see the similarities compared to Kirby’s Epic Yarn. For players who never played either and own a 3DS, Kirby Extra Epic Yarn should be something you should look into if you want an epic adventure. You can preorder it on Amazon right now.
