MrBeast’s TeamTrees campaign hits $20M goal to plant 20M trees

MrBeast’s campaign to plant 20M trees has been achieved ahead of schedule.

The online philanthropist partnered up with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant 20M trees if they can collect $20M in donations.

MrBeast jump started the campaign back in October and garnered over $4M in just the first day.

The #TeamTrees campaign then continued to get attention from many other online personalities, such as PewDiePie, Ninja, Mark Rober, and even Elon Musk, who donated a $1M.

With MrBeast’s online following, the campaign achieved its goal today, in less than two months.

MrBeast tweeted to all those who supported the campaign:

“We did it!! Thank you so much to the over 500,000 different people that donated and the hundreds of influential people that promoted the campaign! Teamtrees was more than planting 20 million trees, it was a movement that shows we care and we want to make change”

Team Trees also was proud of the accomplishment:

“20 million trees – in less than two months – is an incredible accomplishment and it belongs to all of us.”

This just goes to show the power of being an online influencer and having followings in numbers and the things that can be done.

Whether people with high clout aim for positivity (or negativity), the power of having so many people following your every move online can really change the world.
