The new game from Ubisoft, Skull and Bones, already have a freakin’ TV show just based on the game.
The game isn’t even out yet and the film and television segment of Ubisoft is partnering up with Atlas to develop an entire series based off of this new game. That’s jumping the gun. What if the game flops? Just from the looks of the game, anyone will assume feature will just be another Sea of Thieves ripoff. But then again, who’s to judge a book by its cover, right?
The TV drama will take place on the Indian Ocean during the golden age of piracy during the 1700s. The show will be produced by Amanda Segel (The Mist), who’ll also write the script for the show. Other names haven’t been announced yet.
Producers Andy Hortwitz and Richard Suckle will take part for Atlas Entertainment and have executive powers. Ubisoft director of dev Danielle Kreinik and Jason Altman, head of film and television, will also join them to produce the show for all.
There’s no release date yet for Skull and Bones show, just like how the game doesn’t have one yet either. But the game will release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One later this year.

Writer and journalist for almost a year. Doing this for fun. Learned a lot along the way. I’m interested in businesses and the moves they make, tech and how it changes the world, and of course, enjoy playing some video games! I enjoy console and PC, but mostly RPGs, FPS, and League of Legends.
