Far Cry 3 Classic Edition release date announced

Far Cry 3 will be released on June 26th for consoles.

Ubisoft has confirmed the release date of Far Cry 3 Classic Edition in a forum post.

The news states that the game will be released on consoles on June 26th, 2018. For players who have the Far Cry 5 Season Pass, they’ll be able to get it on May 29th instead- a whole month earlier.

Far Cry 3 is probably their most successful game in the entire series. It utilizes mechanics of the previous games in the lineup and that’s probably why it was chosen to be the game to get the honor of being remastered. Far Cry 5 seems to be a whopping success, so Ubisoft continues the celebration with Far Cry 3 Classic Edition for raving fans and new players to the series. It’s probably my favorite of the bunch, but I can’t make that statement yet as I have yet to complete Far Cry 5.

Far Cry 5‘s Season Pass not only includes access to early grabs on Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, but also tons of DLC content like Hours of Darkness, Dead Living Zombies, and Lost on Mars. These add-ons are an integral part of the game as they show off the chaos of the game.

The Classic Edition is basically a remastered edition of the game. It’s a mashup of the game’s original content with newer graphics that can be compared to “high” settings on the PC edition. The multiplayer and co-op content won’t be included, however.

Players rave Far Cry 3 because it connects all the game’s mechanics with freedom of exploration and diverse gameplay. The character building and storyline is also superb. If you just got into Far Cry and missed out on this game, you need to play it. If you have the Season Pass already, then good job. You’re in for a treat.
