Bandai Namco’s Tekken 7 has confirmed a whopping 3M copies. The announcement was made by Tekken’s Game Director/Chief Producer Katsuhiro Harada on Twitter this morning.

TEKKEN7 had achieved Over 3million sales before one year passed from release, but there was no timing to upload this (That’s why there is no Anna, Lei..).
We recorded over 47million copies sales for the series.

Tekken now has totaled over 47M copies total in its long-running series. Compared to Street Fighter, it’s slightly in the lead with just a mere 45.8M copies. Tekken 7 received positive praise overall with its fluid combat and movement mechanics. Bandai is a giant in the fighting space, with games like Dragon Ball FighterZ and SoulCalibur VI both under its belt.
Tekken 7 will also have a Season 2 pass at this year’s EVO FInals, which will have balance changes, new characters (Anna Williams, Lei Wulong, and Negan from The Walking Dead), and the Tekken World Tour Finals are in December which will surely have more announcements soon.
