Facebook has been confirmed to be working on the next Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed- on VR.
A new report signed by Facebook and Ubisoft has agreed to bring the two series to their VR station exclusively. And that they’re looking to buy new game studios to expedite development for their headset.
Whether these games will be new entries or simply remakes of previous games, but with VR support, we’ll have to see. There isn’t much news about this yet as the confirmation just happened today.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been part of the deal between Facebook and Ubisoft. And this isn’t really anything new to the social giant, as they’ve already signed deals for VR versions of other popular titles.
This is an attempt to get more players using their Oculus headset, and getting some exclusive VR games will definitely help attract an audience.
There are rumors of a new Splinter Cell game, but no one knows is this will be part of this deal.
