A Hat in Time sells 1M copies; Exclusive milestone posters

A Hat in Time has now reached over 1M copies sold across PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

That number will continue to expand as the game will be launching on the Nintendo Switch soon. Developer Gears for Breakfast announced their game’s success this morning.

A Hat in Time is a 3D platformer indie game released on PC and Mac back in October of last year. Then it was ported to the PS4 and Xbox One a month later. It’s scheduled for a Switch launch with two DLCs for the game, Seal the Deal and a co-op DLC pack in partnership with HumbleBundle. This was announced in September 2018. The DLC will have a special 240p mode that dials down the graphics settings for nostalgic gamers that want a retro feel. You’ll feel like you’re back to the GameCube era.

Gears for Breakfast previously announced that they sold 500K copies fo the game in July, so 5 months later, the game totaled 1M. That means the game is speeding up slightly in sales rather than decreasing as many would expect after a game launch- especially from an indie game. But with constant news and announcements, this game has stayed afloat paired with the super cute platforming elements.

The developer will also release a Milestone Poster via The Yetee for $8. There will also only be 500 copies made out of archival matte poster stock scaling at 12 x 12” with a limited time offer until February 28, 2019. This is in celebration of the 1M milestone.

A Hat in Time is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Switch players will get to bask in the cuteness soon enough.
