Gearbox has been keeping their lips tied for a long time ago regarding the next Borderlands game. But now, they’ve finally and officially announce Borderlands 3.
After a long time of anticipation from fans, Gearbox Software has finally and officially confirmed Borderlands 3 today during its PAX East panel in Boston.
The CEO of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, teased the audience and even did some magic tricks and all sorts of other weird gimmicks before the pot the panel finally ended with the official reveal of Borderlands 3. The reveal was in the form of a trailer which showed off various characters from the series that fans will instantly recognize and some new ones that have never been seen before.
Some new characters even came from Telltale’s Tales from the Borderlands game like Riz. This panel was about an hour long and if you wanted to speak about fans being teased to the max, this is it. It seemed like Pitchford had a good time messing with the audience. But it was all in good fun.
He stated that Borderlands 3 has been in the works for half a decade now and that they are dedicated to making it worthy to Borderlands 2. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen anything regarding Borderlands, and it’s nice to see that the next game is finally here. Pitchford says that the team been working very hard to make this game match player expectations. He has said that Gearbox hopes to include over “1 billion guns” and have weapons that can even walk on their own.
So now that Borderlands 3 has been officially revealed, there are still many things to think about for the project. While we don’t know the exact release date, we can speculate that it will be out before the fiscal year end for
So at this point, we really don’t have much other than some artwork screenshots and the official developer trailer for it. Of course, just from this information fans will begin to go crazy and start to speculate all sorts of things for the game. Fans already started to come up with plots weapons and even release dates for the game. Regardless, we’re hyped for this and if weapons can really walk on their own two feet, this would be the best Borderlands yet. Sit tight for
