Guilty Gear Strive release date “late 2020”; Anniversary Pack revealed

Guilty Gear 2020 has an official name dubbed Strive.

Strive’s release window is speculated to be late 2020.

There will also be a trailer rolling out in January 2020 and a Guilty Gear demo at EVO Japan in the same month. Strive will be coming out on PS4. No confirmation of PS5. The title may not be an exclusive.

Arc World Tour 2020 will feature BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle and Cygames in collaboration with Granblue Fantasy Versus.

Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Pack

In other news, the Guilty Gear anniversary pack was also announced. The company announced this at the 2019 ArcRevo World Tour Finals. There was no exact release date for Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Pack, other than “soon.”

The game will be coming out for the Nintendo Switch in North America. It’s been previously released in EU, JP, and other countries.

So far, we know that the the Anniversary Pack for Guilty Gear will include the following:

  • Physical copy of Guilty Gear and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R
  • Sol badguy headband
  • SteelBook
  • Collector’s coin

Guilty Gear 2020 will be called Guilty Gear Strive. This was revealed during a trailer which shows clips of various characters who’ve been previously debuted. There’s also a clip of Faust at the end of the trailer.

The current versions of Guilty Gear and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R are available for the Switch globally. The anniversary pack currently has no exactly release date.
