Psychonauts 2 will be released later this year, and the details from Jablinski Games will be released at E3.
While most people have already forgotten about Psychonauts 1, the second entry to the series will be revealed next month at E3. A new demo for Double Fine’s Psychonauts 2 will be rolling out and this will be the first time we’ve seen the game in session other than the tidbits of dev update videos here and there.
Psychonauts 2 wil make an appearance at E3 alongside some staff from Double Fine. Tim Schafer, the head of the studio, will be there. He’ll be discussing the details about Psychonauts 2 and we’ll be able to see what they’ve been up to.
Even more interesting, Jack Black will be there also. He’s had a history with Double Fine from Brutal Legend. They’ll be discussing additional details about the game that are yet to be revealed. From this, we can already see that this panel at E3 will be definitely one to pay attention to.
i’ll be honest, Psychonauts 1 was a decent game. But I didn’t play the game until many ages later, so my experience was sub-par compared to modern platformers.
However, Psychonauts 2 will be a game that I’ll be checking out upon release. This way, I’ll be able to give it a proper score compared to my previous experience.
As for the Psychonauts 2 release date, we’re still unsure at this point. We just know that the game will be released this year on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. There will also be Mac and Linux support.
