Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition Season 4 revealed; V4.0 update – What’s new?

Capcom reveals Season 4 of their signature fighter, Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition.

And with a new season comes a new character. This time around, it’s Kage. After the Finals for Capcom Cup 2018, Capcom and Yoshinori Ono showed off the new teaser trailer for the next season of the game. Ono went on stage with a pair of devil horns and showed off Kage, which is Street Fighter’s version of Evil Ryu.

The trailer also shows off some new character adjustments and updated abilities via V-Skill changes due to fan demand and community feedback. Sadly, no Cammy nerfs yet. Sigh.

Kage plays like Ryu and Akuma. The lore is that he became overwhelmed by the power of the Hadou and went crazy. Kage will have a teleporting Shoryuken and a Demon Teleport that can be chained to combos. We’ll see both of his V-Triggers this way.

Kage is already available to play in the new version 4.0 patch for Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition for those who want to pick this game up again and try him out. The new update had no other new characters announced, so players are wondering who else will join Kage in the new patch. Other than that, we have nothing else to report for the update.

The Capcom Pro Tour will return in 2019, starting in March at Final Round. You can check out the Kage teaser trailer below:

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition is currently available for Xbox One, PC, and PS4. You can pick up a copy on Amazon. PS4 players can demo the game.
