Tekken 7 has now sold over 4M copies.
The official Tekken account posted a tweet earlier today stating that they’ve sold over 4M copies worldwide. Tekken is a longstanding fighter that’s developed by Namco and has garnered attention up with the ranks of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.
Although each fighting is different in their own respective way, it’s still very impressive that Tekken has received such positive praise from fans and brought it over to 4M, which means there’s still an audience for these games.
Gameplay wise, Tekken is probably the best in the series compared to others. There are some missing elements, like team battle and such. But overall, the game’s mechanics are solid. Hopefully we’ll get a third season of DLC. Sure, the game doesn’t have casual modes, but for pure fighting, Tekken ranks as one of the best.
The numbers don’t match MK nor SF, but Namco should still be proud with their numbers. 4M is nothing to scoff at.
