Bungie has recently spoke about the future of their game and their uncertainty.
The most recent This Week at Bungie post, the AAA developer spoke about what their upcoming plans are for the game.
Their next and most obvious update will the Season of the Opulence, which is the next major chapter in the game’s course of updates.
Season of the Opulence begins on June 4 next week, and this is right on time with the arrival of E3. So we’ll likely hear some news regarding Destiny and Bungie’s plans.
The news follows the removal of Actision from the game’s credits, with now Bungie being the sole developer and publisher of the game. After the split earlier this year between Bungie and Activision, Bungie now claims all credits to the game.
Destiny’s future is in uncertainty right now, as Bungie has to decide whether or not to continue releasing updates and expansions, or perhaps do something else entirely with Activision out of the picture.
Destiny 2 also prbbly will be taken off Battle.net, but this will depend on Bungie’s decision.
Community Manager David Deej Dague spoke about the future of the game post Season of the Opulence:
“We’ll be looking deeper into the future, and sharing with you more about a new era for Bungie and Destiny 2,”

I specialize in indie games as I think they don’t get the attention they deserve. I’m just your typical consumer who has some opinions to share. I’ve been reviewing games since I was 12. I started out reviewing them with friends on old forums that now no longer exist. Then I went to online VoDs, which I’ve lost interest in.
And now I’m here to deliver my thoughts in written format!
