Sea of Solitude has been confirmed to be getting a July 5 release date.
The game from EA Originals’ Jo-Mei Games will be coming out on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 soon. EA and Jo-Mei Games will roll out on July 5 with a price tag of $19.99.
Jo-Mei is an EA company that develops indie games, such as Fe and A Way Out. Sea of Solitude will be their next entry and will be exclusive to Origin.
Sea of Solitude is a game based on the main character, Kay, who explores the world of a flooded city with a varying water level that changes based on mood. Kay needs overcome her loneliness and try to find herself again.
The game is an emotionally-driven artsy project, as described by Cornelia Geppert, CEO of Jo-Mei:
“Sea of Solitude centers on the essence of loneliness and tugs on the heartstrings of its players by mirroring their own reality. It’s by far the most artistic and personal project I’ve ever created, written during a very emotional time in my life.”
The annual EA Play coming soon will likely shed more light on this game. A new original game by EA typically rolls out annual, and last year this game was announced.
This year, EA won’t be having any press conference, so we may or may not get another one this year. This announcement also come before EA Play, as EA hasn’t had many press conference this year altogether.

Freelance journalist and part-time gamer.
I specialize in indie games as I think they don’t get the attention they deserve. I’m just your typical consumer who has some opinions to share. I’ve been reviewing games since I was 12. I started out reviewing them with friends on old forums that now no longer exist. Then I went to online VoDs, which I’ve lost interest in.
And now I’m here to deliver my thoughts in written format!
