The next Call of Duty has been confirmed to be Modern Warfare based on a new artwork leak earlier today.
“Going dark” seems to be the theme of the game, as we can see from the artwork of the game.
Call of Duty’s Twitter account has also gone dark without many tweets lately, but this probably blew their cover.
Earlier this morning, Activision released the details regarding the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare by putting out a trailer. The game was supposed to be the rumored CoD game for later this year, but now we basically already know what to expect.
And fans already kind of knew this beforehand anyway, so the news regarding the next MW isn’t a big surprise.
The official reveal still remains scheduled for tomorrow, but some new key art was released on their own channel, probably by mistake.
The art was discovered by CharlieINTEL, who saw that the art had a soldier standing on a war-torn land for the main logo. There’s a date attached to the video’s thumbnail, with a release date that we can clearly see if we “enhance” enough.
Th month is definitely in October, but the day remains kind of difficult to see.
Based on the game’s history of Friday releases, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will probably be the 18. But that’s just judging from the double-digits on the key art.
Other than that, no other details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare have been released yet. This game will be a soft reboot of the Modern Warfare series and we’re not too sure what they plan to do with this series that could use some better days.
The full reveal will be tomorrow at 1PM EST.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare rolls out in October for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
