The Opulence update will add the usual new challenges, equips, loot, and lore. Alongside that, the more interesting part is the six-player event dubbed the Menagerie.
There will also be new Pinnacle weapons, Iron Banner, Tribute Hall, Moments of Triumph, and the Solstice of Heroes event.
This new event spans across runes, which are used to exchange and purchase specific weapons and armor to customize your character.
This new match-made event will use the Calus’ Chalife of Opulence to unlock runes, and with these runes, they’re basically token for exchange pieces.
Bungie has stated that players can use the Chalice to buy more powerful equips and weapons.
Annual Pass holders for Destiny 2 will also find new bosses for the event throughout the month of June.
Once the Heroic difficulty is added to the game, the event will stop. The Menagerie bosses can found throughout the event for just next month, so make sure you get as many encounters as possible before they’re taken out of the game.
Players that have completed the campaign for Forsaken can also try the Menagerie once and the new Imperial Summons questlie.
Doing this will let you raise your gear to 690 light so you can try out the new content damaris.
Owners of the Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion pack will also be asked to look for treasure. Benedict 44 has some special quests for these players that need to be completed n order to earn powerful rewards on the 750 light journey.
Bungie has reported that more details will be released as Season of Opulence goes live. The update goes live on Tuesday, June 4 during the weekly reset.
