CD Projekt Red snags RiME level designer Manuel Mendiluce for Cyberpunk 2077

Developer CD Projekt Red just picked up a veteran to help them create their next much-anticipated title, Cyberpunk 2077.

Although they’ve said nothing other than the game will be released “when it’s ready,” it seems like they’re already taking steps to build the right team and pulling some amazing minds together.

For starters, they announced that they’re grabbing Tequila Works’ Lead Level Designer Manuel Mendiluce, who’ll be leaving RiME development to work with CD Projekt Red.

This was posted on Twitter from his official account saying that he’s had “8 awesome years” and joining Cyberpunk 2077 with a lot of “humility” for the development of the next game. He’s worked on titles like RiME, Deadlight DC, and Sexy Brutale and he’ll be joining his new family starting in January 2019.

He also said that Projekt Red will take good care of him and that he’s pretty much happy with the transition.

For Cyberpunk 2077, this is a huge plus with an awesome developer to join the development team. Mendiluce is a world-class level designer which was proven in RiME. His talent will be added to the team and will help create their next masterpiece, even though Projekt Red already has some of the world’s leading developers working collaboratively to produce the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot of speculations surrounding it already- especially in regards to the release window. A Polish data analyst predicted that the game will release in the fourth quarter of next year based on sales data, but CD Projekt Red posted a tweet blatantly saying that there’s no date yet and it’ll be announced when it’s ready with a jabby holiday card.

The game is currently available on Amazon for pre-order for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. We’ll keep you updated when we hear more solid evidence in regards to anything Cyberpunk.
