Lucio-Oh’s have been granted access by supergiant retailer Walmart.
If you’re an Overwatch fan, Lucio’s own cereal is now available at your local store. Lucio-Oh’s is a fictional cereal based on Lucio in the hero shooter Overwatch. This whole thing just started as a spray and basic voiceover but has now become a real thing. That you can buy. With your own cash. Today.
Blizzard revealed that they would be releasing this cereal at Blizzcon 2018. It’s a genuine cereal and Kellog’s has partnered up to distribute the cereal. Fans have already begun seeing the cereal on shelves, such as this report from Reddit.
The reveal of the Overwatch cereal also showed off a pretty unique commercial that really makes them seem delicious and part of a balanced breakfast (attached at the end of this post). You can now gobble down on some Lucio-Oh’s while playing as the rightful character.
You’ll also get a special code that gives you a loot boost for the game. These are redeemed from Kellog’s Family Rewards program. You’ll get an additional loot box every time you level up for the next three levels with this code. This is better than just getting a basic loot box like other Kellog’s product have done so in the past, such as Pringles and Pop-Tarts which just give a solitary loot box for qualified purchases.
Right now, the cereal retails for about $3.99 a box. I can’t find it anywhere nearby me using their stock checker online, so it looks like it’ll be a while before it gets stocked nationwide (or it’s just sold out). I don’t think the deal is exclusive to Walmart and other retailers will soon stock it as well. They’re just the initial store to try it out.
