A new roller derby game from Ubisoft dubbed Roller Champions has been leaked.
A ResetEra post has leaked a new project Ubisoft has been working on called Roller Champions. This is supposedly one of the bigger games they’re working on this year, and probably we’ll get confirmation at E3.
The game seems to be roller derby gameplay with a cel-shaded, cartoonish take on the sport.
The game seems to be an action-packed game that combines some graphics from Fortnite, ARMS, and Rocket League.
Of course, there must be online support as players roller skate around a course playing roller derby.
The game has multiple levels to play through with various characters and equips.
Roller Champions will have multiple game modes, and two aiming modes called “flick” and “price.”
The game also will have leaderboards for online matchmaking and ranked/custom game types. This game will likely have an esport front and plenty of microtransactions to customize characters.
So far, the post revealed that this game will release for the PC, with possible reports on PS4, Xbox One, and the Switch.
The game will be built on the Unity engine, and the developer remains unknown.
We may hear more about Roller Champions at E3, which will make this one of the three we may be graced with this year. Other than Ghost Recon Breakpoint and a possible Splinter Cell, Roller Champions would complete the trio.
