The newest update to Fortnite will have the Reboot Vans, going live next week.
A new update video detailing the new changes was released, and the developers explained how the Reboot Vans will work. Epic Games reveals that the new respawn feature goes live next week alongside the Reboot Vans.
This new update, V8.30, will have a new vehicle that provides seating for one person and a respawn mechanic that matches how Apex Legend’s respawn system works- with respawn beacons. Epic said back in February that this new update will go live, and now, it’s time.
Season 8 launched last month and vans were found all over the map. Our lovely dataminers found that they were called “Second Chance Vans.” The Reboot Vans and the Reboot Cards will be unveiled in 8.30. Players can use squadmates Reboot Cards to activate it at the vans in order to resurrect fallen teammates.
However, once activated, there will be an auditory alarm where nearby players will be alerted that there’s a reboot happening and how many players are coming back, so this adds a new dimension to the game.
Squadmates that are brought back to the game will arrive one at a time rather than at the same time. And the van will also have a cooldown period, so it can’t be spammed.
