FNAF: Help Wanted ESRB rating leaked

Five Nights at Freddy’s isn’t going stale anytime soon.

As dictated by a new leak (once again by the ESRB), fans have concluded that there will be an FNAF coming to PSVR soon. The game is called Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted.

Scott Cawthon has been working hard on this series and it’s amazing what he’s accomplished so far. He’s been sticking to his plans for all his FNAF projects. And if you remember, a few months back he released an FNAF roadmap to please the fans. And now we definitely have the next FNAF game.

According to a recent leak by the ESRB, he’s finishing up plans to release his VR game he mentioned a while back. FNAF VR: Help Wanted will be the latest entry to the series and it’ll be the first FNAF VR game.

News surfaced quickly and a few Redditors quickly got on the case. They weren’t sure if this was a real leak or not.

After this, the rating was quickly pulled from the database, which means that it’s likely real and published by mistake on the ESRB’s behalf. But they were too late, fans already got some nice screencaps of the rating for Help Wanted:

Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted

Platform: PlayStation 4

Rated T: Fantasy Violence

“This is a VR puzzle/horror game in which players assume the role of a repair person tasked with monitoring/repairing animatronic characters at a pizzeria. From a first-person perspective, players explore dark hallways, complete puzzles, and try to avoid menacing, malfunctioning animatronic figures. The game contains frequent screams and jump scares, with the words “You Are Dead” appearing on screen after players are attacked.”

From this description, we can already see right away that this game will be for PS4 owners. Last year, Cawthon announced that the game would get a console port sometime later on. And that the VR game would be coming to PSVR. The description matches exactly what he says, so no surprises there.

The development was being done by Steel Wool Studios, who also made games like Mars Odyssey and Bounce.

Help Wanted will focus on fixing and repairing animatronics, which means players will have to get personal with each animatronic. This should be fun.

So far, the game has no explicit release date yet. We know that the game is at least 40% complete from the last update. And with the ESRB pushing out a rating, accidentally, we know that it’ll be soon. For players who own a PSVR, they’ll be able to jump into Freddy Fazbear’s pizzeria in full VR. Spooky.
