Ubisoft’s upcoming AAA game may be coming to Google Stadia, based on a recent comment by Kotaku.
Although the announcement didn’t specifically state which consoles will be supported (nor PC), there’s speculation that the game will be coming to Stadia.
For those who don’t know what Stadia does, this is Google’s little hub that lets you mirror/stream games to many devices using a variety of supported controllers.
With Ghost Recon: Breakpoint available on this system, this just may break the ice and get the crowd familiar with Stadia.
The speculation was first mentioned in a report for cross-saving support for Destiny 2. There’s a small snippet in that report where Kotaku’s Jason Schreier mentions that:
“We also expect Ghost Recon Breakpoint and a few other big games to get announced for Stadia.”Jason Schreier
Stadia and Breakpoint shouldn’t be that much of a surprise. Google has already partnered with Ubisoft before regarding the testing of Project Stream, which directly ties into Stadia. Yves Guillemot has announced that there’s definitely a strong partnership between the two entities.
The current release for Staida and Breakpoint are both unknown.
However, Google will be hosting a Stadia Connect session tomorrow that will finally reveal the games planned for the platform tomorrow during a livestream. Ubisoft will then have E3 on the following week, which may also provide us with some news about this partnership.
