The hype over Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is real. The game is just under two weeks until release and Nintendo has been teasing chain smashing in a series of 30-second videos and the game has recorded highest pre-sales in Nintendo history so far. The money’s secured even if the game is a total flop.

And now to add to the fire, a celebrity is fanning the flames- none other than Ninja himself.

The popular Fortnite streamer who has been featured on the Ellen Degeneres Show who’s exploded in popularity over the past year has tweeted something for the SSBU fans. Whether the two communities cross over and have similar audiences, it seems like many are interested with his Tweet garnering over 20K likes at the time of this writing:

Ninja didn’t say exactly what he’ll be doing, but he’s hinting that he’s got something “cooking up” for fans given that the game is so close to the game coming out. He could be doing a live stream with fans, or even giving away a copy of the game. Can you believe how easily Ninja makes the news? It’s just crazy to think about.

Regardless, we’ll get to know soon what he has in store for the fans.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate releases exclusively for the Nintendo Switch December 7. You can pre-order a copy on Amazon. Get your fists ready for Nintendo’s brawler on its next-gen console!

Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, 27, the most popular Fortnite streamer on Twitch, said he wouldn’t be streaming yesterday as he’s flying over to California. What’s he doing there? He’s a guest on the popular daytime talk show: The Ellen Degeneres Show.

The Fortnite streamer with 3.4M Twitter and 11M Twitch followers made a surprise appearance on the show. Well, actually, it was super undercover as his wife Jessica ‘JGhosty’ Blevins posted a picture on her Instagram that sort of gave the fans the heads up. She posted multiple selfies of her and Ninja on a private jet to California with only the caption that they were “filming something awesome.”

Of course, this rustled up his fanbase (and the internet). It really pays off to be good at something, doesn’t it?

Fans waited a few hours until she posted a photo that showed Ninja’s name on a special dressing room backstage at the show. And then a day later, Ellen had done the interview with Ninja- complete with a video of Ninja playing Fortnite on The Ellen Degeneres Show. They talked about his job briefly. Then the pair sat down for around of Fortnite, with Ellen not getting any kills.

Ninja has also been featured on the cover of ESPN and even played a match of Fortnite with the popular Canadian rapper Drake.

Ninja reveals his thoughts on the most underrated weapon in Fortnite 4

Ninja was playing his usual session of Fortnite on Twitch (not surprising), and he talked about his thoughts on the most underrated weapon in the entire game.

He was facing off with an enemy and he chose to use the Epic rarity of the Dual Pistols. He shot two bursts and easily killed his opponent. Then, he carelessly remarked:

“Dualies might be the most underrated gun in the game.”

Whether his opinion matters in the Fortnite weapon meta or not, he is one of the top and most popular Fornite players in the world. He wiped out his enemy rather quickly and killed him off with a clean round of shots from his Dual Pistols. They offer accuracy even at long range and offer decent damage with fast firing speeds to boot.

The pair of handguns were first introduced to the game in the V4.5 update, which consists of a pair of Rare or Epic Pistols that are equipped simultaneously and allow the player to shoot both at the same time with one shot. You can check out the clip here.

However, the Pistols never became “meta” with the players. Most top players prefer SMGs as the secondary to their main weapon, which is usually an assault rifle. Ninja did show off a tact of skill in the clip, but it’s likely not enough to sway many players to work them into their loadout.
