What Remains of Edith Finch free on Epic Games Store

What Remains of Edith Finch will be Epic Games’ next free title starting on January 10, 2019.

In case you haven’t heard, Epic Games has launched their own game store to compete with Discord and Steam. To promote it, they’re giving out full games for free every two weeks throughout 2019. The first two games were Subnautica and Super Meat Boy (still available now), and What Remains of Edith Finch will be the third title.

The Epic Games Store is doing what they can to get people to sign up and use their store. They offer a decent split for developers, though not as good as Discord’s 90/10 split. The games they give out for free are aimed to get the masses to their store and buy something and garner exposure. What better way to do so than to give out free games to the players?

What Remains of Edith Finch is an exploration game you learn about your family’s past and the journey itself is an experience worth playing through. Though I’ve never personally played it, the game description already sounds very enticing enough.

The game will be free on the Epic Games Store starting on January 10, which is just less than a week away from now. You can still get Super Meat Boy before it vanishes for free. Just visit the store and create an Epic account if you don’t already own one. We’ll keep you updated when the game becomes free and up for grabs.
