Anthem takes first place for game sales in UK.

Anthem takes first place in UK’s weekly game sales

Anthem has been dominating the sales charts in the UK.

EA and BioWare’s new AAA game took first place at the top of the charts in the UK last week, taking down Far Cry New Dawn from the previous week. But things aren’t all good for Anthem though, because the game wasn’t that spectacular compared to BioWare’s previous 2017 release, Mass Effect Andromeda.

Digital sales have been nothing but amazing in recent years, but compared to previous sales, Anthem didn’t sell enough to match the game. But then again, Mass Effect is a┬álot more popular and had multiple games put out throughout its series while Anthem is a brand new franchise for the public.

Compared to other games in the UK, Resident Evil 2 remains the fastest selling game in the UK and beats out Anthem. EA predicts that the game will garner a whopping 6M copies sold before the end of next month. We’ll have to see just how careful the projections of their data analysis really are.

Other awesome games that have been topping the UK charts this week include Metro Exodus and Far Cry New Dawn.
